With last week's announcement that Texas REALTORS® Shaping Texas (in-person) Conference has been replaced with a virtual education series based on health and safety concerns around the availability of healthcare resources in the Houston area and the impact member experience, there has been a great deal of activity as we make the shift in format in a very short amount of time.
First, the date pattern has shifted slightly. What was a Thursday through Sunday event has shifted to eliminate weekend sessions. Now the date pattern is Thursday (Sept, 9), Friday, Monday and Tuesday.
The event will consist only of sessions from the original program that carry continuing education (CE) credit, plus an opening session, Executive Board meeting and Board of Directors meeting - about 15 total sessions. Regional Caucuses will not be a part of the program
All sessions will be held over Zoom and a web page is being developed to allow members to both see the schedule and join sessions. For members to be eligible for CE credit, they will have had to ensure that they have an updated Fast Pass in our system. Instructions and details regarding this requirement will be communicated to members repeatedly between now and then.
Because of the nature of CE and the Zoom platform, up to 1,000 members can participate in each session. There is no pre-registration, so the sessions are first come, first served.
More details to come. Any questions can be directed to our very flexible and responsive Meeting Planning team, who deserve huge kudos for the work they are doing to accommodate this shift.
