For many of us, it's a welcome back to the office after a couple more months of fully remote work. For others who have been in the office full or part time, it's about having more of our teammates around. Either way, we're glad you are here and want to share a few updates.
Austin recently downgraded to Stage 3 of the Risk-Based Guidelines as hospitalization numbers continue to improve across Travis County. So what does that mean for the office? Please see the Texas REALTORS® October 2021 COVID-19 Guidance Chart for stage-by-stage guidance as it relates to masks, meetings and travel.
Specifically, during Stage 3:
Masks are encouraged, but not mandatory, for individuals who are vaccinated and have submitted their proof of vaccination. Masks are mandatory in all common areas for those who are not vaccinated. Common area means anywhere but your personal workspace.
For vaccinated individuals, normal travel and meeting attendance is allowed according to protocols in place at the destination. For unvaccinated individuals, travel is discretional and masks are required (this applies to Austin-based staff. Field Rep staff operate under existing departmental protocols.)
See the chart for additional information on stage requirements.
Today also marks the beginning of the 3/2 Hybrid Work option for applicable positions. This option provides the opportunity for positions that are eligible to effectively work from home to do so for up to 2 days a week. Eligibility and scheduling must be approved in advance by departmental directors. Here are a few guidelines for the program:
Advance approval by supervisor required
Eligibility determined by department director based on job duties and effectiveness – director has the ability to rescind eligibility based on ineffectiveness or non-compatibility
Meetings that necessitate or are more effective with physical presence take precedence over remote working
Days do not roll over or accumulate…max two per week whether they are taken or not
Partial remote during a day constitutes a full day of remote
Will be re-evaluated for effectiveness periodically and the program may be altered or revoked based on this evaluation
Please visit with your department director or any vice president if you have additional questions.
