Texas REALTORS® Activates Disaster Relief Fund

In response to recent tornado and wildfire activity in several areas across the state, the association activated the Texas REALTORS® Disaster Relief Fund for Texans and is currently accepting applications for assistance to Texans affected by the events.

Assistance is available for residents of the following counties:

  • Runnels (wildfire)

  • Brown (wildfire)

  • Coleman (wildfire)

  • Comanche (wildfire)

  • Eastland (wildfire)

  • McCulloch (wildfire)

  • Cooke (tornado)

  • Grayson (tornado)

  • Williamson (tornado)

  • Wise (tornado)

  • Montague (tornado)

These counties are contained within the jurisdictions of the following associations: Abilene Association of REALTORS®, Greater Denton-Wise County Association of REALTORS®, Greater Texoma Association of REALTORS®, Heartland Association of REALTORS®, and Williamson County Association of REALTORS®.

Applicants may apply for an award up to $1,000 if they live in eligible counties and were displaced from their primary residence due to damage from the wildfires/tornadoes. The fund will be activated with $25,000 and will remain open until those funds are depleted or May 5, 2022, whichever comes first.
