With the moves to more remote work over the past year. A quick update on the very useful Presence feature of Zoom which appears in the Chat window.
Presence allows other staff and Zoom users to know when you are available, in a meeting, presenting to a group online, simply unavailable, only on mobile, etc..
Please note that within Zoom Chat presence indicators are shown for all contacts. Examples of all status settings are shown and explained in the image below.
Outlook Calendars will automatically make these status changes for you throughout the day, if you choose to allow this. To integrate Outlook calendar with your Zoom Status please complete the below on your primary business computer with Outlook used for mail. That computer will maintain the sync between Zoom and Microsoft Outlook calendar. (Not Mac applicable)

Integrate Zoom with Outlook
In order to integrate Zoom with your outlook account you will need to follow these steps.
Click on your profile in the top right corner of Zoom.
A drop-down menu should open, and you will then click on ”Settings”.
In the General tab check the box next to Integrate Zoom With Outlook.
You will then receive a pop-up to install the software. Click “Allow” and you should be good to go.
