This is one of those things that is easy to forget, but especially around Conference time, it's important. As a reminder, any employee driving a personal automobile for business purposes must complete the Texas REALTORS® Proof of Auto Insurance Coverage form and upload a current copy of the declarations page of their policy to verify that the minimum coverage amounts are satisfied.
This applies to any association travel, whether it is to a meeting across town or to an out-of-town event, such as Conference. Please take a moment to complete the form now. We will be working to make sure all records are complete before leaving for Conference.
If you have previously completed the form, please double check your policy expiration date. Most that we have on file are expired. If you have any questions about what is on file, please feel free to reach out to Mike Barnett.
As outlined in the Employee Handbook, those amounts are as follows:
Liability:
Combined single limit of $300,000; or
Bodily Injury: $100,000 each person / $300,000 each accident; and
Property Damage $100,000 each accident.
