Diversity training requirements for NAR leaders and volunteers

Please make note of the message below from NAR as a reminder to applicable NAR leaders of the DEI training requirement for 2024. Thank you.

"We've heard from several of you who are curious about the DEI training requirement for all 2024 NAR Directors (including Exec Committee, Liaisons, and RVPs); Chairs; and Vice Chairs. Thank you for being proactive to ensure your member leaders are ready to go before the May 1 deadline!

As a reminder, NAR leaders must complete three DEI training courses prior to May 1 in order to continue serving in their term:

1. At Home With Diversity class

2. Bias Override: Overcoming Barriers to Fair Housing class

3. Fairhaven: A Fair Housing Simulation

We have sent direct emails to those members who still need to complete the training, providing them with no-cost options to take the At Home With Diversity and Bias Override classes (Fairhaven is always no-cost). There are only two remaining no-cost opportunities to take the Bias Override Course – March 26 and April 2. If your member leaders need the code re-sent to them, please ask them to reach out to nargovernance@nar.realtor.

The deadline to complete the courses is May 1, 2024. Directors, Chairs, and Vice Chairs who do not complete the training by the deadline will not be eligible to serve their 2024 term, and a replacement will need to be made.
