Here is a brief update on what is happening with the HVAC and what is around the corner for our elevators.
HVAC:
We continue to work on the HVAC system upgrades and are nearing completion. If all goes well, we should have all upgrades for Phase 1 completed by the end of August. As we remove parts of the old system and install the new, there is quite a bit of programming that needs to take place. During this time the system is shut off and on throughout the day.
Last week a new water pump valve was installed. This caused a leak in the mechanical room on the roof which has trickled down to the second floor. We believe we have found and fixed the problem. We will leave a couple of the hallway ceiling tiles out as we monitor this over the weekend. If everything remains dry, we’ll replace the ceiling tiles and schedule to get the carpet cleaned.
ELEVATORS:
Tuesday, September 3, the P1 exit gate will be blocked as TK E unloads equipment and tools. While the exit is blocked, please use the entrance side if you need to exit. We’ll have the gate open and please proceed with caution.
P1 parking spaces #106 - #109 (northeast corner of the garage) will be blocked off for the storage of equipment and tools.
Elevator mechanical upgrades will start in the afternoon on September 3. Each elevator will be taken out of service, separately, for a period of 2 – 2 ½ weeks. We will start with the south elevator and then move to the north elevators. If all goes well, we hope to have this completed by the end of October.
